Removing pins from boiler surfaces

Removing pins from the surfaces of boilers has long been one of the specialist services we offer for boiler maintenance. It involves removing the damaged pins or the faulty slag along with the pins. By using special pneumatic tools, we ensure that damage to the surface underneath is kept to an absolute minimum during this process.

Following this, abrasive is used to remove defective slag and scaling from the boiler surface, which is then prepared for smoothing and reinstallation of the pins. Broken pins and the bases of pins that have snapped off are removed with a hand chisel or circular saw.
